Welcome to the Avon Dance Academy and Chew Valley Dancing School website.

Established in 1970 (A.D.A.) and 1984 (C.V.D.S.) the schools offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern & Jazz using the syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dancing, for Ballet, and the Imperial Society of Teacher of Dancing for Modern, Jazz & Tap.

The schools are based just south of Bristol & Bath and hold classes in the villages of Camerton, Chew Magna, Dunkerton & Timsbury.

The Avon Dance Academy and the Chew Valley Dancing School, aim to provide a friendly atmosphere for children of all ages to learn different types of dance. We offer R.A.D and I.S.T.D examinations. Children learn through structured syllabi, designed to strengthen technique and performance. The examination system, provides goals to work for which gives pupils a sense of achievement. Both the R.A.D and the I.S.T.D are internationally recognised, and uphold a high standard. All examinations entered at the schools are also recognised by the qualification and curriculum authority and fit into the national qualification framework. The higher grade examinations are on a par with G.C.S.E. & `A' Level examinations.
